Gail is a Family Therapist and a Mediator who has been working in private practice since 1987 at which time she was a founding member of The Family Therapy & Counselling Centre, formerly situated in Ranelagh.
Prior to this, Gail practiced as a Solicitor for many years, both in Australia and in the United States. 
Gail's published books and articles have considered the questions of Systemic Therapy, gender and power in the marital relationship and women's ordination in the Catholic Church.  She has also written several Book Reviews for the Irish Times.
She has taught on the Foundation year in Family Therapy for the Clanwilliam Institute and provides the seminar on Gender in Therapy and Homosexulaity for the Masters Programme.  For many years, she taught the Ecofeminism module for the M.A. in Theology and Ecology for Lampeter University, Wales.  She has also lectured at the Von Hugel Institute, St. Edmund's College, Cambridge UK.
Gail is the author of "Care, Justice & Gender: A New Harmony for Family Values" (Veritas:Dublin)
Gail is married and has two daughters.
